The name certainly sounds good

I used to work for Apricot Computers at Edgbaston, Birmingham in 1987-1990 and they were the most innovative company I have ever worked for. My Bro worked there too and developed the first software that allowed inter-computer control from another site (remote). He called it "Peek" as in "Peekaboo" and the Company had interest from the Russians but the MOD put a stop to any sales in that direction (or so I was told!). Anyway, the boss, Roger Foster, had a love of sailing and so, went into a joint venture to develop and build the world's largest tri-maran called, "The Spirit of Apricot". The teams that developed Concorde's wings were involved. It was bloody huge! Only daft thing they did was to allow the famous Yachter, Tony Bullimore to pilot it and he crashed it and wrote it off! Mr Bullimore was in the news again a few years ago when he capsized in the Atlantic. Brilliant company though, and my Big Bro, Bri worked for them up until the very end when Mitsubishi Electric took them over. They were not only the first company to develop wireless mouse and keyboard, but also on the F1 model, had voice recognition - WAY before anyone else. Manufacturing was based in Glenrothes in Scotland and so, was properly British made! It wiped the floor performance-wise vs the big clunk IBM machines. Cost for a PC then was around £4000!! Some classic tunes that I can remember so clearly to this day. Rob Hubbard was a C64 musical legend. So many iconic tunes that are such a massive part of my childhood.

I played [most of] these games on a CRT, a 1084S and later on a multi-sync and what they had in common was... scanlines. The "retro communities" almost complete dismissal of how it made the games look baffles and annoys me so, so very much. Also, no Lionheart? Seriously?

My primary school had Apple IIGS machines in the classrooms and PC compatibles in the library, my secondary school had Apple IIEs and Macs in the junior school and PCs everywhere else except the media studies classroom. I don't know how many Australian schools use Commodore computers. The music in this video reminds me a bit of the Windows XP tour music.

Sadly, neither. In my elementary school, we had Apple II computers in our library. Then, it changed to Macintosh in middle school. Our schools finally started to get Gateway PC computers later on in high school.

The thing I don't get about AI is that every explanation as to how it works always relies in some way in someone being there to tell it when it's right and wrong. Yet most AI systems seem to just go off and grow on their own. So the only reference seems to be whether answers match published information, in which case it's nothing more than a content matching, prioritising and linking system. What's more worrying is that when we all Accept Terms & Conditions in apps that say anonymised data will be collected "to improve products and services", that the products and services they're talking about are AI, and it's what we type into our phones and what is heard through the microphone that teaches the system. After all, predictive text is pretty much AI in all but name and is just an extension of it. Repetition counting and coincident phrase linking.
